The Eagle's Ring

We start off the night with WWE making fun of the Denver Nuggets by having someone impersonate the owner of the Nuggets come to the ring. He talks about not being able to stand the WWE or its fans. He says he don’t care if he screwed WWE fans. Vince comes out and starts to make fun of Stan. Vince then pushes him and its over.

Before Vince can leave The Miz comes out and interrupts him. He says he became a star in LA and that some think they will win the NBA Championship. But then he tears off his shirt to reveal a Cleveland Cavaliers shirt. He then says he will become 6-0 tonight against John Cena. Then John Cena comes out but before he could get to the ring Legacy comes out and attacks him. Then Batista comes out and cleans house. But then The Big Show comes out and attacks Batista and Cena. Then Jerry Lawyer comes in and attacks Show. Then Batista and Cena double clothline Show to knock him out of the ring.

Kelly Kelly VS Maryse for the Diva Championship

Not a bad match. Maryse had the upper hand for a while but then Kelly was able to reverse it. She loses the upper hand when it goes to the outside. Maryse kicks her and knocks her over the announce table. The ref calls for the bell and DQ’s Maryse.

Winner: Kelly Kelly

They show Flair getting ready to go out and confront Randy Orton. Batista stops him and ask him if it has to be tonight. He says why cant it be after he destroys him at the PPV. Flair says forget it and he is calling him out in a few minutes.

Matt Hardy VS  William Regal VS Kofi Kingston

The winner of this match gets a US Title shot next week on Raw. At the beginning Hardy goes to the outside to nurse his injury. Hardy then gains the control. MVP comes to the ring to watch the action. This was a back and forth match with each competitor showing off their skills. Kofi takes out Regal and Hardy to gain the win.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

After the match Kofi and MVP have a little confrontation at ringside. MVP says he is happy Kofi won and he deserves a shot at the US Title.

Ric Flair confronts Randy Orton

Flair calls out Orton. Orton comes out but has a mic. He stops at the top of the ramp. He says its over for him. He then begins to walk to the arena. Flair slaps him and then Orton gets the upper hand. Batista comes down to make the save. Orton gets on the mic and says its gonna be over for Batista too.

Then Mr Kennedy’s music hits and he comes out. He says tonight officially marks the return of Mr Kennedy. He says he is the fifth man tonight in the 10 man tag team match.

Santino Marella/Mickie James VS Chavo/ Beth Phoenix

The winner of this match gets to pick the stipulation for the match at Extreme Rules PPV between Vickie Guerrero and Santina. Chavo and Santina start it off. Then Beth tags in and her and Mickie go at it. Mickie is able to pin Beth for the win.

Winner: Santina Marella/Mickie James

After the match Vickie comes out. She says she has Chavo in her corner at the PPV. Santino then picks a Hog Pen match for the PPV.

We go back stage to where Miz and The Big Show. He says no one likes the Miz. He says he will make Cena tap out at Extreme Rules.

GoldDust/Hornswoggle VS Festus/The Brian Kendrick

Carlito and Primo are at ring side for this match. Festus starts it off against GoldDust. Festus looks confused when Hornswoggle tags in. Then Kendrick tags in and goes after Hornswoggle. Then GoldDust gets the tag. Kendrick tries to tag in Festus but he refuses the tag. Kendrick then slaps him and Festus goes after him. GoldDust nails Kendrick and Hornswoggle nails the tadpole splash. GoldDust then pins Kendrick. The bell rings and Festus just stands there and Kendrick goes to nail him with a chair when Primo rings the bell. Kendrick goes running up the ramp.

Batista/John Cena/Mr. Kennedy/MVP/Jerry Lawyer   VS Randy Orton/Ted Dibiase/Cody Rhodes/The Big Show/The Miz

All the competitors come out in either Laker or Nugget unforms. The faces take over this match from the beginning. Then Rhodes get a tag and the heels have the advantage. They work over MVP and Mr Kennedy. Finally Kennedy tags in Cena who just explodes on everyone. Cena tags in MVP and they do their signature moves. MVP gets the pin.

Winner: Team Lakers … MVP/Mr Kennedy/John Cena/Jerry Lawyer/Batista

After the match everyone begins fighting but Cena and Batista come out on top.

The Eagle’s Thoughts

I think Vince went to far with the Nuggets/Laker thing but it was enjoyable. The best match of the night was the triple threat for the shot at the US Title. Over all not a bad Raw.

 

Raw May 18^th

 

We start off Raw with the WWE Champion Randy Orton coming out. He says he is still WWE Champion and that he was looking to take Batista for good but was stopped by Ric Flair. He says he has kicked every member of Evolution in the skull. He then dared Flair to get in his business again. Just then Flair’s music hits and he comes out to the ring. Flair says he may still be champ but he did not beat Batista. Flair says until he beats the man he is nothing. Orton did said he could beat Batista anytime, anywhere. Flair then announced that Batista will face Orton in the Extreme Rules PPV in three weeks in a steel cage. Randy then punches Flair and jumps on him. Legacy then comes down to the ring. Batista then comes down and takes out legacy but the number game is to much for him. Then John Cena runs down and takes out everyone.

They then shows Cena backstage. He says no matter who wins at Extreme Rules he is going after the WWE Title. Vickie Guerrero then interrupts Cena and says tonight Cena and Batista will take on Legacy in the main event.

We then come back to a Divas battle royal

Diva Battle Royal

IT came down to Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly. Maryse is out ringside and sprays Mickie James face with hairspray or something. Kelly Kelly then pushes her out to get the win.

Winner: Kelly Kelly

Santino Marella VS Chavo

Santino joked around at first allowing Chavo to get the upper hand. At one point Chavo was hitting Santino and Santino started shaking and he came back and knocked Chavo out. Santino then came back and won the match with a roll up.

Winner: Santino Marella

After the match Chavo made the announcement that Santina will defend her WrestleMania Crown against Vickie Guerrero.

We come back from commercial with The Miz and Maryse. The Miz says watch out for what he has in store for Cena tonight.

They then show Matt Hardy and he says Vickie is a fair General Manager. And that she had nothing to do with him interfering in the match and then getting a US Title shot tonight.

They then show Vickie and Chavo together. She yells at him for putting her in a match. He says he has a plan. Randy Orton runs in and yells at her putting him in a cage match against Batista. She says she is the General Manager. He says she better hope she stays on his good side and then leaves.

Carlito/Primo VS GoldDust/Brian Kendrick

What is GoldDust doing teaming with a heel? Wasn’t he the one that saved Hornswoggle last week? GoldDust starts off the match but Kendrick says he isn’t doing good and tags in. Carlito then takes over the match. He then tags in Primo who eventually nails Kendrick with a cross body for the win.

Winner: Carlito/Primo

After the match Kendrick begins yelling at GoldDust and then slaps him. GoldDust and him have a stand off and Hornswoggle runs in. GoldDust then hits Kendrick and sends him to the outside.

They then go backstage to where The Miz is dressed like Cena and on his way to the ring.

The Miz comes out and says he is doing a remix of the song “Word Life”. He then proceeds to make fun of Cena and his song. By the way The Miz cant rap. He calls Cena out but he doesn’t come out. He says he is 5-0 now and Jerry Lawyer interrupts him. Jerry explains that just because you call someone out and they don’t show up doesn’t mean that you beat them. He then proceeds to call out several wrestlers. He then tells Miz that he is talking out of his rear end. He tells Miz if he wants a match to go back and talk to Vickie. He goes to do that when The Big Show’s music hits. He tells Miz that play time is over. He announces that he talked to Vickie and she made a submission match at Extreme Rules. The Miz says he will wait til after Cena is done beating him to beat Cena. Miz then pushes Jerry in front of him and Show hits him. The Miz runs as Show puts Jerry in his camel clutch.

 We come back from commercial to Michael Cole and Jim Ross at ring side.

Matt Hardy VS MVP for the US Title

MVP gets the advantage and then Matt takes control. Matt exposes the turnbuckle but doesn’t get it off. . Matt gains control of the match and takes out MVP’s leg. MVP then makes a comeback has a hard time cause of his leg. Matt Hardy then knocks MVP out of the ring. He takes control but then MVP reverses it and takes it back into the ring. He even stomps on Hardy’s broken hand. He nails the Play Maker for the win.

Winner: MVP

They show Ric Flair and Batista backstage. Flair says he is calling out Randy Orton next week on Raw. Batista says not to but Flair says they retired him … he didn’t retire and that if he didn’t believe in him then he wouldn’t accompany him to the ring tonight and walked away.

We come back and go backstage to Chavo laying on the ground telling Vickie to jump off the couch and nail him. She says the match is off but then Santina walks in and makes of Vickie. She then says the match is on.

Santina VS Vickie Guerrero

Santina then grabs a mic and makes fun of Vickie. Chavo grabs the mic and says now this is a No DQ match. As the bell rings Chavo attacks Santina. But then Santina gets the advantage. Vickie just watches. Chavo goes to the outside and Santina goes after Vickie but William Regal comes down and attacks Santina. Vickie then pins Santina to become the new Miss WrestleMania.

Winner: Vickie Guerrero

After the match they show Chavo put on the crown on Vickie.

Legacy VS John Cena/ Batista

Cena and Rhodes start this off. Cody takes advantage and tgags in Randy but as soon as Batista gets tagged in Orton tags back out. We come back from commercial to Legacy having the advantage on Batista. Cena gets the tag and comes in and cleans house. But Orton gets tagged in and takes out Cena. They work over Cena for a while. Finally Cena gets the hot tag to Batista. Batista comes in and clean house. The Big Show comes down and Cena chases him with the chair leaving Batista in the ring alone. Then Ric Flair comes down and helps Batista. Batista then spears Orton for the win

Winner: Batista/John Cena

The Eagles Thoughts

Not a bad Raw… nice to see Ric Flair. Some pretty decent matches. Even the ending match was decent. Match of the night was the Hardy VS MVP.

Some news to pass along….. WWE and the NBA are both still selling tickets for next weeks venues. So, no word on what will happen there. More as it develops.

Raw   May 4^th

 

We start off the night with Shane McMahon VS Randy Orton.

Shane McMahon VS Randy Orton

It immediately goes to the outside. As soon as Shane has Orton where he wants him Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase comes out. MVP comes out for the save but he is taken out. Then Batista comes down and clean house.

Vickie Guerrero comes out and says she will not lose control and that Shane McMahon VS Randy Orton will happen tonight. She sets up a match between Batista and Ted and Cody and MVP. Whoever wins the match may interfere in the Shane VS Randy.

Matt Hardy VS Kofi Kingston

Matt complains before the match and says he is wrestling under protest. Not a bad match considering Matt is wrestling with a broken hand. Matt tried to use the cast but Kofi counters to get the win.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

After the match Matt nails Kofi with the cast to knock him out.

There was a confrontation between Chavo and Santino Marella backstage. Santino made fun of Vickie. Looks like there will be a match between Chavo and Santino.

Then The Big Show shows up in Vickies office and asked for a match against Cena. She then makes a match between Cena and Show at Judgement  Day.

MVP VS Cody Rhodes

For some odd reason William Regal was at ringside for commentary. Not a bad match. Cody took out MVP’s leg early in the match.  Cody Rhodes goes to the outside and MVP follows him. Cody gets in the ring and distracts the ref. Regal takes out MVP’s leg and he cannot beat the 10 count. So Cody joins Orton tonight in their match.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

We come back from commercial with a sing off between Jillian Hall and Festus. Jillian keeps raising her hand  but Jerry Lawyer tells her she hasn’t won yet. Finally they ring the bell and Festus sings. The crowd loved it. Festus was declared the winner.

The Miz comes out. He kicks Festus who cannot do anything because the bell hasn’t rung. The Miz then goes off about calling out Cena last week and he didn’t show up. Cena then appears on the Titantron walking to the ring. We then go to commercial.

We come back to The Miz in the ring running his mouth again. Then The Miz says he won the match by forfiet again. Then Cena shows up!!! He walks to the ring but slowly. As soon as Cena got into the ring The Big Show comes out. There is a stare down for about 5 minutes then Show kicks him and takes him down. The Show continues his assualt. Cena then passes out after a submission move from The Big Show.

Jerry the SubWay guy was the special guest ring announcer.

Mickie James VS Maryse

Maryse went to show off but Mickie attacked her. Not a bad match. I see Mickie getting a shot at the Diva Title soon.

Winner: Mickie James

Batista VS Ted Dibiase

It was a good match with a lot of back and forth action. Batista got the upper hand and Ted slapped him really making Batista mad. Batista then got him in the corner and wouldn’t let go of the hold. The ref called for the DQ given Ted the win and Legacy the upper hand in their match against Shane McMahon.

Winner: Ted Dibiase

They show Vickie and Chavo backstage. Chavo gives Vickie advice and she sort takes it. The decision is this…. If MVP interferes in the match he is stripped of the US Title and if Batista interferes he is stripped of his WWE Title shot at Judgement Day.

Carlito VS The Brian Kendrick

Ok I missed this match…. Sorry. What I did see of it was decent.

Shane McMahon VS Randy Orton/Cody Rhodes/ Ted Dibiase

Shane gets the upper hand at first but the number game proves to be to much. And Legacy takes control of the match. Then Shane gets the upper hand again. Shane takes out Cody and Ted but Orton is able to get to Shane. Shane at one point threw all 3 members of Legacy out of the ring. He gets Orton on the annoucers table and dives off the top rope but Orton moves. Then Orton takes a chair and slams his foot into it. Orton then picks up the steel steps and smashes Shane’s ankle into it. The refs finally break it up. Then Batista does come out and Legacy runs. Randy then gets on the mic and says “Batista your Judgement Day is coming” and then Raw goes off the air.

Winner: No Contest

Not a bad Raw. A few good matches. I wish they would focus on something else other than Orton. Its gonna get old real soon. But over all not a bad Raw.

Raw—April 27^th

Raw opened up with Randy Orton gloating about his win last night against Triple H and team. Vickie Guerrero then announced that Orton would be facing the winner of The Big Show VS Batista. Randy Orton then went on the say that the locker room will answer to him. Then MVP came out. He said he is the US Champion and he doesn’t answer to anyone. Ted Dibease then spoke and told MVP to leave. MVP refuses. Cody gets on the mic and says they can take him out. Vickie then made a match between Orton and MVP for tonight.

The Brian Kendrick VS Kofi Kingston

A very fast pace match as expected from these two. A back and forth match. Definitely a decent match.

Winner—Kofi Kingston

They then showed Big Show with Vickie. He tried to kiss her but she said its strictly business from now on.

Santina/Kelly Kelly/Brie Bella/Mickie James VS Beth Phoenix/Jillian Hall/ Rosa/ Maryse

I cant believe they are keeping this up with Santino Marella. Hornswoggle comes out and interferes distracting Beth and Rosa which enables Santina to pin Jillian.

Matt Hardy comes out with a cast on his right hand. He said he is not a quitter and is being forced to wrestle tonight. He said he is wrestling under protest.

Matt Hardy VS Golddust

After running from Golddust, Matt Hardy hits Golddust from behind with the cast to get the win.

Winner—Matt Hardy

Randy Orton VS MVP

A back and forth match at the beginning. MVP gained control by knocking Orton outside. Quite a move if I say so myself. He moved and Orton hit the middle turnbuckle and then MVP kicked him …. He fell out of the ring and hit his head of the steel steps. But when we came back from a commercial Orton had the advantage. Randy gets the advantage and sends MVP to the outside and out of no where comes Shane McMahon with a kendo stick. Legacy comes down but Shane takes off thru the crowd. It was cool to see Shane come out and get revenge.

Winner—Randy Orton by DQ

The Miz comes out and grabs a mic. He says he is the biggest person to get drafted to Raw. He says he is a TV icon. He says he has come to Raw to make an impact. He then challenges John Cena. Cenas music plays but no Cena. He continues to call out Cena. He then says he won by forfeit. He then ask Lillian to announce it but she refuses. He then grabs her mic and announces it himself… then leaves. There would have been more of a point of bringing him out if someone would have come out and challenged him but everyone knew Cena wouldn’t be there.

Carlito/Primo VS Chavo Guerrero/ Jamie Noble

I have no idea why Noble is teaming with Chavo. Makes no sense to The Eagle. Not a bad match at all. Of course the WWE Tag Team Champions were to much for Noble and Chavo.

Winners—Carlito/Primo

Vickie Guerrero comes out and announces that Shane McMahon VS Randy Orton next week for the main event on Raw.

The Big Show VS Batista

Big Show dominated most of this match. Big Show knocks Batista outside and goes out after him. Just then John Cena shows up. Big Show and Cena stare each other down. Batista gets back in the ring … the ref is counting. Big Show runs in but doesn’t make it in time. Batista is declared the winner. Batista then spears The Big Show. They show Cena standing and smiling at the top of the ramp and the show goes off the air.

The Eagle’s Thoughts

Not a bad Raw. Shane showing up really surprised me and so did Cena. I think the Santina thing needs to come to an end real soon. Its getting old already.
